Robin, I got right up next to the flower — in its face, really — absolutely as close as my macro lens would let me. As for the book, thanks. There are a lot of really good photographers out there; I don’t know that anyone would want to pick my images up. Maybe someday I’ll use them to illustrate a book I write, though — emphasis on the writing.
Thanks, Pam! I saw a lot of this type of flowers, but it was only these that I photographed because of the contrast between the dark and the light.
