Boy can these little guys move! Although I took this one inside an aviary at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum (yes, I admit it in the interest of full disclosure) this sucker was still awfully hard to pin down. He’s so handsome and regal, though, that the difficulties were worth it.
In other news, I ordered Photoshop CS4 on a screaming deal. I had it delivered to work on Friday, but I ended up leaving on a family emergency before I could pick it up. Can’t wait to grab it today! I’ve already started reserching HDR photos and actions and so many other cool options, though other Photoshop suggestions would be kindly received as well – especially since I expect to be totally overwhelmed when I open it up for the first time! No problem. I was overwhelmed when I first tried to use my Nikon D60, and within weeks (or, okay, months for some features) it became second nature.

with the speed these guys are packing, i guess it’s really hard to pin them down.. this guy looks really cute, great capture!
photoshop, eh? i’m sure you’ll have lotsa fun with that one.. try subscribing to the photoshop user tv podcast.. they have a website too with their past episodes up there..

Great colors. The background goes so well with the bird colors.

Just lovely! the quality of the bird is great!

Excellent sharpness and frame filling detail. I like the triple brances to the left that echo the bird’s posture.
