Orange Flower, Post Rain

Lots of dark pictures lately. Let’s lighten up, shall we? This flower photo is from my garden right after an evening rain storm. I love how the flowers that are just past their prime begin curling into weird shapes. Much more interesting than the perfect, sunny, fully open ones.

  7. You find the most interesting things and turn them into beautiful art. I doubt I have ever seen petals criss cross like that. Add the colour and the droplets….
    Amazing :) !

  13. i just love how you have captured the drops on the petals as they curl. While it appears simple the subtlety of nature is captured brilliantly and you are so right – “Much more interesting than the perfect, sunny, fully open ones.”
