Taken a couple of weeks ago on the road between Durango and Silverton, Colorado. I was running late to pick up my husband and daughter, but I just HAD to stop and photograph this patch of flowers along the side of the road. The bee was just a bonus. Expect another aspect of it next week, with a different angle, different flower, and different treatment.

the colors are marvelous Caryn, I like it a lot

@Jen, Thanks! And, yeah, I’m kind of into the macros right now. They’re fun, and I have to take advantage of the opportunity while there are still a few flowers around.

Wonderful photograph, well worth the stop along the highway. I am often torn between rushing to a place to be on time, and seeing something that might offer good photographic possibilities.

@Doug Hickok, I have that problem all the time! I still sometimes think about certain scenes that I never took the time to stop and capture. At the moment my other priorities seemed stronger, but now I wonder.
