A cactus flower about to unfurl. Taken on the banks of the San Juan River in southeastern Utah.

    Wow…I really like this pic. The black and white not only makes the floral bit of the cactus look more delicate than it would in color, but the contrast of how bright I know cactus flowers to generally be and the black & white is very cool as well. Really nice.

  17. Thanks! I had a lot of fun playing around with this one, trying to see what would highlight the shape of the flower and the thorns. It took a bit, but I finally settled on the sepia treatment.
