  1. One of my favorite places Caryn. A different and nice change from the classic view.

    • @Len Saltiel, Thanks! I didn't want to stand in the same spot everybody uses, both because it's boring to take the same old picture and because I actually love this little out-of-the-way section best.

  2. What a beautiful place.

    • @Frida, It's a wonderful place to visit. I highly recommend it!

  3. classic view of the canyons of the west.. :) great catch!

  4. Really nice shot – the colors are beautiful. You really captured that area!

    • @Jen, Thanks, Jen. It was sunset, of course, because what better time to visit Dead Horse Point?

  5. What a beautiful image, Caryn. I much prefer this treatment to the overprocessed, supersaturated landscapes I see elsewhere.

    • @Andrew Graeme Gould, Thanks! I actually went back and forth so much when it came to the colors! I, too, have seen all the over-satured photos of the area, and I was afraid mine would look dull in comparison, but in the end I had to go with the more realistic treatment.

  6. Yes, you did the right thing, I believe!

  7. What a great landscape. One of the areas in the world I KNOW that I will return to is the landscapes in Utah and Arizona, Monument Valley was one of the most great and beautiful places I have ever seen….

    • @Truels, It's a beautiful area! And there's so much to see. Like you, though, I think Monument Valley is such a special place.

  8. This is a favorite place of mine. Also love my Moab Brewery Dead Horse Ale t-shirt.

  9. beautiful scenery with this spectacular light so enchanting so delicate

    • @fabrizio, Thanks! The setting sun really lights up the sandstone until it practically glows.

  10. This is a place I still have on my visit list. Looks so overwhelming!

    • @Arjan – PlasticDaisy, It's definitely worth the visit! I highly recommend it.
