"Pinecone in Sepia" by Caryn Caldwell

Sunshine adores pinecones. She hunts them when we go to the park, and she asks for them whenever we take her stroller near a pine tree. As a result, we have a little pile of pinecones in the planter near our front door. This is one of them.

  1. This is a beauty, Caryn.

    • @Katie, Thanks, Katie! It was kind of fun to look up close at something I usually just take for granted.

  2. beautiful result and nice focus interpretation

    • @fabrizio, Thanks. I liked how the focus brought out different details, so that's why I chose it.

  3. seeing it in sepia makes the details even more noticeable.. :) nice shot!

    • @rian, Exactly why I chose it! I had a similar one in color, and I may still post it someday, but I liked how the color and the sepia ones seemed to showcase different elements.

  4. Very artistic! This would make very nice wall decoration!

    • @Arjan -PlasticDaisy, Thanks! Yes, I can definitely see that. Maybe in a mountain cabin somewhere, where you'd want something that isn't particularly distracting or striking.
