Busy Bee II
Another bee, another Yosemite flower, another practice session with a macro lens. For variety, I processed this one in black and white.
Marin Lighthouse
A lighthouse battles fog along a rocky coast in Marin County, California, just a few miles from the Golden Gate Bridge.
Feasting Fawn
We startled this fawn while on a walk near the ocean. After watching us for a while, it apparently decided that we were no threat and decided to continue snacking on the surrounding brush.
Thistle Tips
I imagine this one will receive some mixed reactions because of the choice of depth of field. This is another experiment with the borrowed macro lens. In this case, I was playing with depth of field. You can view the same flower, a thistle, here.
As Seen on TV
This photo, taken from the balcony of the Watsonville condo where we spent a week, is pretty much straight out of the camera. Part of me just wants to enjoy the lovely scene. The rest of me thinks it looks like a sappy ad for Hallmark or long-distance or something. You decide.
